Kalrez® Perfluoroelastomer Seals

DuPont™ Kalrez® custom elastomer seals are designed and molded to your specific requirements. Typical custom perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) shapes include valve seats, diaphragms, gaskets, packer seals, T-seals, column fittings, and more. Supplied in standard O-rings or custom shapes, Kalrez® resists over 1,800 different chemicals, while offering the high temperature stability of PTFE (327°C).

Custom parts and components with unusual geometries can be designed and molded in Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts to meet the needs of specific sealing applications. Examples include special profiles and rectangular-shaped seals for slit valves and windows: metal-bonded parts, profiled quartz tube seals, diaphragms, lip seals, hollow O-rings, tubing, and other specialized configurations.

Kalrez® Slabs and Sheets

Kalrez® slabs and sheets are available in several sizes, thicknesses, and compounds, providing many options to use Kalrez® as a flexible sealing solution. Sheets and Slabs are manufactured in three standard sizes (3×3 in., 6×6 in., and 12×12 in.) for each of ten standard thicknesses: 0.020 in., 0.030 in., 0.040 in., 0.050 in., 0.600 in., 0.070 in., 0.080 in., 0.090 in., 0.110 in., and 0.125 in.

Kalrez® Trilobe™ Seals

DuPont™ has developed Kalrez® TriLobe™ Seals to improve seal life in dovetail grooves. This design combines the excellent chemical, thermal, and plasma resistance of parts made with Kalrez® perfluoroelastomers, with a unique cross-sectional shape that eliminates many of the problems associated with semi-dynamic seal applications using a dovetail groove.
