Kalrez® W240 FFKM Material Data Sheet

Kalrez® W240 is a high-performance perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound engineered for wet chemical manufacturing processes that require outstanding resistance to acids, bases, amines, and other aggressive process chemistries. Originally developed for photovoltaic manufacturing, Kalrez® W240 provides an excellent combination of chemical compatibility, low volume swell, and mechanical strength, making it an ideal upgrade from conventional elastomers such as FKM, EPDM, and NBR.

Designed for applications where long-term exposure to aggressive wet chemistries can cause conventional sealing materials to swell or degrade, Kalrez® W240 helps maintain seal integrity while reducing maintenance and improving equipment reliability. Its low metals content also makes it suitable for contamination-sensitive processing environments. A maximum continuous service temperature of 230°C (446°F) is recommended.
