PTFE Film vs. Other Plastic Films
Compared to many conventional plastic films, PTFE film provides superior chemical resistance, higher temperature capabilities, and significantly lower surface friction. Materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and PVC may offer lower costs, but they often cannot withstand the demanding environments where PTFE excels.
For applications involving aggressive chemicals, elevated temperatures, electrical insulation requirements, or long-term durability, PTFE film is frequently the preferred material despite its higher initial cost.
