Kalrez® 4079 FFKM Material Data Sheet

Kalrez® 4079 is a premium general-purpose perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound designed for demanding sealing applications requiring outstanding chemical resistance, excellent mechanical properties, and exceptional high-temperature performance. As one of the most widely used Kalrez® compounds, 4079 delivers reliable sealing in aggressive chemical processing environments while helping extend equipment life and reduce maintenance costs.

Engineered for use in O-rings, seals, diaphragms, and other critical sealing components, Kalrez® 4079 offers excellent resistance to a broad range of chemicals, low compression set, and superior thermal stability. It also performs well under repeated temperature cycling, making it a trusted solution for refineries, chemical processing facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other industrial applications. Kalrez® 4079 is generally not recommended for prolonged exposure to hot water, steam, or certain hot amines.
