Typical Properties of 70 Durometer White FDA Grade Silicone
Description: 70 durometer FDA grade silicone gasket material, which is designed for use in gasket applications where food may be present. 70 durometer FDA grade silicone is manufactured with FDA approved ingredients listed in CFR 117.2600, an FDA regulation which involves rubber articles intended for repeated use in contact with food. 70 durometer FDA grade silicone has a service temperature of -80°F to +450°F, with the ability to withstand +500°F on an intermittent basis. 70 durometer FDA grade silicone is a non-toxic and chemically inert silicone material, which is low volatile, peroxide free, and does not discolor over time. The material takes a low compression set and offers excellent UV and ozone resistance. 70 durometer FDA grade silicone is manufactured to meet 3-A Sanitary Standard 18-03 Class IV.
M&P Sealing’s FDA grade silicone gasket material is available in a wide range of durometers, ranging from as soft as 30 Durometer to as hard as 70 Durometer with standard durometers in between and is produced white in color. 70 durometer FDA grade silicone can be slit to width in rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4″ wide, up to 36″ in width. M&P Sealing can manufacture 70 durometer FDA grade silicone without adhesive or choose an adhesive from our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. 70 durometer FDA grade silicone is available in standard and custom thicknesses.
