Typical Properties of 40 Durometer Specification Grade Silicone

40 durometer specification grade silicone, which is manufactured for use in gasket applications that require demanding physical properties and lower compression set. 40 durometer specification grade silicone has a service temperature of -80° F to +500° F. 40 durometer specification grade silicone offers excellent ozone and UV resistance. 40 durometer specification grade silicone is a non-toxic and chemically inert material and is manufactured using all FDA approved ingredients. This style of durometer general purpose silicone meets the physical requirements of ZZ-R-765 Class 2A Grade 40 and Class 2B Grade 40.

M&P Sealing’s general purpose silicone gasket material is available in a wide range of durometers, ranging from as soft as 30 Durometer to as hard as 80 Durometer with a range of durometers in between. 40 durometer specification grade silicone can be supplied red or black in color with preferred thicknesses available in grey. 40 durometer specification grade silicone and can be slit into rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4″ wide, to a maximum width of 36″. M&P Sealing has the ability to supply 40 durometer specification grade silicone without adhesive or with either our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. 40 durometer specification grade silicone specification grade silicone can be manufactured in thicknesses ranging from as thin as .016″ to as thick as 1″. M&P Sealing has the ability to fabricate 40 durometer specification grade silicone by die-cutting or waterjet cutting to meet your design and production requirements.
