Typical Properties of 40 Durometer High Strength Grade Silicone
Description: 40 durometer high strength silicone gasket material designed for use in gaskets applications where demanding physical properties need to be met. A premium grade silicone, 40 durometer high strength silicone offers a high tensile strength and very good tear resistance. A fungus resistant material, 40 durometer high strength silicone also provides users with an extremely low and high-temperature range, with a service temperature of -94°F to +450°F. Style AG40HS 40 durometer high strength silicone is manufactured with FDA approved ingredients listed in CFR 117.2600, an FDA regulation which involves rubber articles intended for repeated use in contact with food. The material takes a low compression set and offers excellent UV and ozone resistance. 40 durometer high strength silicone is formulated to meet the physical requirements of ZZ-R-765 Class 3B Grade 40 (with exception to flex test).
M&P Sealing’s high strength grade silicone gasket material is available in a wide range of durometers, ranging from as soft as 30 Durometer to as hard as 80 Durometer with standard durometers in between. 40 durometer high strength silicone can be converted into rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4″ wide, up to 36″ in width. M&P Sealing can supply 40 durometer high strength silicone without adhesive or choose from either our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. 40 durometer high strength silicone can be manufactured to a wide range of standard and custom thicknesses. M&P Sealing has the ability to fabricate 40 durometer high strength silicone by die-cutting or waterjet cutting to meet your requirements and can provide support from the design stage through the production phase.
