Description: Medium density fiberglass reinforced flame retardant closed cell silicone sponge material designed for use in gaskets applications that require a soft compressible material. This material is UV and ozone resistant and takes a low compression set. In addition to having a high tensile strength, medium density fiberglass reinforced flame retardant closed cell silicone sponge offers resistance to low and high temperatures and provides users with a service temperature of -103°F to +450°F. A flame retardant and highly compressible material, the fiberglass gives this silicone sponge material dimensional stability, which is useful when cutting close tolerance parts.

Medium density fiberglass reinforced flame retardant silicone closed cell sponge can be converted into rolls ranging from 1/4″ wide up to 36″ in width. Available in dark blue (standard) or grey in color, the surface has a fine fabric finish on both sides and can be manufactured in rolls or sheets with a thickness range from as thin as 1/32″, to as thick as 1/2″.
