Typical Properties of 60 Durometer Translucent Grade Silicone
Description: 60 durometer translucent grade silicone gasket material designed for use in a wide variety of gasket applications. This low volatile material is peroxide-free and takes a low compression set. 60 durometer translucent grade silicone is manufactured with FDA approved ingredients listed in CFR 117.2600, an FDA regulation which deals with rubber articles intended for repeated use in contact with food. 60 durometer translucent grade silicone offers extreme high and low-temperature resistance, with a service temperature of -80°F to +450°F, and has the ability to withstand +500°F on an intermittent basis. 60 durometer translucent grade silicone provides excellent UV and ozone resistance and is non-toxic. A unique feature of 60 durometer translucent grade silicone is that it is non-yellowing, which means the material will not discolor over time. Commonly used in applications where food is present, 60 durometer translucent grade silicone is formulated to meet 3-A Sanitary Standard 18-03 Class IV.
M&P Sealing’s translucent grade silicone gasket material is also available in 50 durometer and 70 Durometer. Additional durometers can be produced. 60 durometer translucent grade silicone can be converted into rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4″ wide, up to 36″ in width. M&P Sealing can supply 60 durometer translucent grade silicone without adhesive or with either our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. 60 durometer translucent grade silicone can be manufactured to standard and custom thicknesses. M&P Sealing has the capability to fabricate 60 durometer translucent grade silicone by die-cutting or waterjet cutting to meet both prototype and production requirements.
