Typical Properties of 50 Durometer Silicone Vacuum Blanket Material – High Strength
Description: 50 durometer high strength silicone vacuum blanket material, whose compound is produced specifically for aerospace and aircraft manufacturing facilities across the globe. This 50 durometer high strength silicone sheet is produced with a fine textured fabric finish on both sides, which is favored by users for its ability to very quickly wick out all air during vacuum bagging procedures. 50 durometer high strength silicone vacuum blanket material features strong durability, which allows the silicone blanket material to be reused. This material also has excellent drawdown strength and resiliency. This allows the material to perform when exposed to high pressures and elevated temperatures it encounters in autoclaves during the curing cycle of composite structures. 50 durometer high strength silicone vacuum blanket material has a service temperature of -100°F to +450°F. The material provides excellent resistance to weathering and ozone and offers resistance to petroleum base oils. The material is not recommended for service in acids, aromatic solvents, fuels, and chlorinated solvents. 50 durometer silicone vacuum blanket material is formulated to meet the physical requirements of ZZ-R-765E Class 3B Grade 50. This material available in both cured and uncured forms and can be manufactured to a wide range of thicknesses and widths, including up to 72 inches wide without a splice.
