Typical Properties of 40 Durometer Low-Temperature Grade Silicone
Description: 40 durometer low-temperature silicone gaskets are designed to be utilized in applications that require silicone and where the material will be exposed to low-temperatures. This non-toxic and chemically inert material is also fungus resistant. 40 durometer low-temperature silicone is suitable for gasket applications that require a service temperature range of -103°F to +450°F. 40 durometer low-temperature silicone takes a low compression set and provides excellent UV and ozone resistance. 40 durometer low-temperature silicone is formulated to meet the physical requirements of ZZ-R-765 Class 1A Grade 40 and Class 1B Grade 40.
M&P Sealing’s low-temperature silicone gasket material is available in a wide range of durometers ranging from as soft as 40 Durometer to as hard as 60 Durometer. 40 durometer low-temperature silicone can be converted into rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4″ wide, up to 36″ in width. M&P Sealing can supply 40 durometer low-temperature silicone without adhesive or with either our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. 40 durometer low-temperature silicone can be produced to a wide range thicknesses. Please contact M&P Sealing to discuss your application requiring 40 durometers low-temperature silicone, as this material is made to order only. M&P Sealing has the ability to fabricate 40 durometer low-temperature silicone by die-cutting or waterjet cutting to meet your exact requirements.
